2010 Round 1 Teams v Sydney

The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their team to take on the Sydney Roosters in the first leg of the Ron Coote Cup for season 2010, which will be the NRL’s first Family Fun Day for the year, this Sunday 14 March at ANZ Stadium. This historic match is the 200th game between the two remaining Foundation Clubs in the NRL. Currently the Rabbitohs have won 105 to the Roosters 89 with five games being drawn over the past 102 years. The Family Fun Day action will be non-stop with 200 kids, carers and parents from the Sydney Children Hospital joining the crowd at ANZ Stadium; 200 Rabbitohs and Roosters juniors that play in the South Sydney Juniors competition forming a guard of honour for their heroes; a special petting zoo will be in action featuring all sorts of animals including rabbits and chickens; a jumping castle; as well as Rabbitohs kids tattoos and face painters so the kids can show their support for their Club on Sunday. A special family ticket price is also available with two adults and two kids able to come to see this Sunday afternoon game for just $40. Two-for-one pies are also on offer at ANZ Stadium on Sunday, making it an action-packed and affordable day out at the footy for the whole family. The NRL game will kick off at 3pm with the Toyota Cup match scheduled to commence at 12:45pm. Gates will open at 12:40pm. The referees for the NRL fixture will be Ashley Klein and Tony De Las Heras.
