Initial Fire - Then right side exposed

Souths started the game like a house on fire making breaks against the Dragons almos tat will. But after the initial onslaught our right side was exposed with a few old Wayne Bennett set plays.

Merritt Trifecta

Nathan Merritt was back at his try scoring best scorng a hat trick of tries today against the Dragons.

Centrone Bears Trifecta

Chris Centrone bagged a treble against Wentworthville showing off his speed out on the wing.

Crucified by Media

Greg Inglis this week was crucified by the media as they tried their hardest to have the Shoulder Charge banned. Greg had no chance at the judicary as the tackle where Dean Yong was being tackled by Farrell was given a very harsh Grade 3.

Rd 20 Stat Attack

Souths were backing up after a MNF match and while they started well dropped off in the composure giving away 7 penalities. Error count was very good as was completion rate, but missed tackles is still high. Effective 1st tackles was poor for the game drifting out to 34.3m this week.

Looking at our left side defence - Merritt-King-Sutton-McQueen (2-3-1-0) improved to 6 from 10 missed tackles last week. On the right side Everingham-Farrell-Reynolds-Taylor (3-6-5-3) was very poor and increased to 17 from 12 last week will the Dragon set plays almost always coming off.

On the positive side Sutton has a good game with 3 try assists. Our forwards did not dominated this week with only Taylor and Crocker cracking the 100+m. Defensively Peats was our best in the tackling raking up 42 tackles. With Pettybourne, McQueen and Lowe not missing a tackle.
