The Cyber View from the Hill

5 Wins on the Trot

What a great in and now 5 wins on the trot. In this game we dominated against a Wests Tigers outfit that struggled in halves all day. It was a important game in the context of the semi final race with the Tigers in 9th spot.

Sutton streamrole

John Sutton had another great game today. His running game was great breaking the Tigers line on many occassions.

Bears Compeitition Leaders

The Bears hammered Wests today and have moved into the competition lead with 5 rounds remaining.

National Reserve Grade

We really need to address the issue of a NRL National Reserve Grade. The Wests Tigers are fielding a Bundy Cup standard team as their Wests Magpies outfit which is adding no value to the reserve grade standard hit out required for fringe first grade players. Wests have now lost 19 matches this season all by big margins.

Rd 21 Stat Attack

Souths were without Inglis and Luke but still put on a dominate display. But the Tigers played a number of debutants and Farah moved to halves. Our missed tackles were down but errors were still high. Effective 1st tackles improved to 31.9m this week.

Looking at our left side defence - Hunt-King-Sutton-McQueen (0-5-0-0) improved to 5 from 6 missed tackles last week. On the right side Everingham-Farrell-Reynolds-Taylor (1-0-4-5) was improved to 11 from 17 last week.

On the positive side Sutton & Taylor has massive games cracking up 199 and 203m. Our forwards did well with Sam and Luke Burgess, McQueen, Taylor and Crocker cracking the 100+m. Defensively Peats was our best in the tackling again raking up 43 tackles. With McQueen, Tyrrell and Luke Burgess not missing a tackle.
