2012 Preliminary Semi Final Teams v Melbourne

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have sealed third position on the Telstra Premiership Ladder at the conclusion of the 26 rounds, and will take on second-placed Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park in Melbourne on Saturday 8 September at 5:45pm in week one of the Finals. The winner of this game will progress through to week three of the Finals and are only one win away from a position in the NRL Grand Final to be played on Sunday 30 September at ANZ Stadium. The Rabbitohs under 20s side have also qualified for the Toyota Cup Finals, finishing the season in sixth position. The under 20s will take on arch rivals, the Sydney Roosters in week one of the Finals with the winner progressing through to week two and the loser being eliminated from the competition for season 2012. The North Sydney Bears have announced their team to take on the Newcastle Knights in their Finals Week One Qualifying Final at WIN Jubilee Oval, Kogarah, this Sunday at 3pm.
