RTR Great Day Again

Well Return to Redfern was another great day out. It is more of a fan day than a trial, with the team made up of Reserve Grade and our better U20 players. What started pretty ordinary in the conditions being down 0-12 ended up being a big win in the end. Of the lower grade players to impress have been Kaifoto and Nansen up front. Starling and Shearer have both grown in size. Paea had a good return as did Atula and Farrell looked good.

Sam Burgess

What a great debut all be it for only 20 min cameo by Slammin Sam, first tackle a big hit and then he led Souths 2010 scoring by putting on teh first try of the season.

15,000 members

During this week we passed 15,000 ordinary members and over 9,000 season ticket holders. We are now well past 2009 levels and the second best season ever in terms of ordinary members and already the best ever in terms of season ticket holders.

Champion, Burgess All Stars

Congratulations to Beau Champion and Sam Burgess being called up into the All Star match this weekend. But I have to question the selection rules that allow Burgess to become a NRL All Star when he hasn't actually played a NRL match yet, and was not one of Souths nominated players who we voted on.
