NSW State of Origin Coach Ricky Stuart has selected Nathan Merritt and Dylan Farrell in the ‘Blues in Waiting’ squad, a 51-man squad that will gather in January to prepare for State of Origin football. The Blues are assembling this squad for the first time under the new NSW Origin regime, with Merritt and Farrell joining the group at the camp in Homebush next week. The NSW Blues are looking to break a five-year drought at Origin level in 2011, and believe that the ‘Blues in Waiting’ squad will be the first step in breaking Queensland’s recent dominance.
