The Warriors proved that you cannot compete at the Top 4 level of the NRL without size in the front row. We sourly missed Luke and Sam Burgess this week as teh Warriors pack dominaed us.
Congratulations to Dave Taylor who became Souths 64th Australian International.
Our SG Ball boys had a good win on the weekend advancing to one win away from the U18 grand final.
The Australia v New Zealand Test match is being played at the wrong time of the year. We should be building up our representative season culimnating in the 4 nations at the end of the year.
We had no go forward in the game. Our overall meters fro teh game was way down from 1467m last week to only 969m this week. Handling errors were also up to 14 and missed tackles crept back up to 27. Effective 1st tackles was poor to 40.0m. With the first half being a very ordinary 48.0m.
Go forward but all of our forwards was a significant issue in the game with no forwards cracking the 100m Looking at our left side defence - Farrell-Corrigan-Sutton-Pettybourne (1-4-3-1) 9 missed tackles between them. On the right side Everingham-King-Reynolds-Taylor (3-2-2-4) was up to 11 missed tackles between them.
On the positive side Luke, Areaiiti, Taylor and Clark averaged 8+m per run each. Defensively Luke and Crocker were our leading tacklers with Geddes, Clark, Areaiiti not missing a tackle.
