Rusty hitout up in Coffs

Souths main 13 had a rusty hitout in Coffs. While their defence was pretty strong we did lack penetration in attack until the young guns came on later in teh game. Two Knights tries did come directly from Souths errors and the last on the bell. Madge has indicated his disapproval so it will be a interesting Charity Shield coming up.

Lowe

Ben Lowe has been making the most of the trials starting with a solid hitout in teh RTR match. Then following it up with a solid performance at Coffs and rewarded by pushing captain Michael Crocker out of the starting lineup.

Welcome home Champion

It was great to see Beau Champion wear the read and green once again on the weekend. He has now forced his way in the starting line up for the Charity Shield.

Dylan Walker made a successful debut in first grade on the weekend playing the centers. He chimed in well in the backline. This time last year he was lining up in the U18's.

World Club Challenge - Play it in October

The World Club Challenge while really good in concept is being played at the wrong time in the season. It should be played in the 3rd week of October so that GF squads of both teams will particpate rather than as a glorified trial with a different squads.
