A New Era begins

After ahuge amount of off season work has been undertaken and our new club South Sydney is now ready for its first game this weekend. Players have been versed on the new Northern Union rules. Now for the real thing.

Professionalism

A war continues to erupt around the so call "professionalism" of Rugby League. The Rugby Union continues to be furious at this new break-away code. Now we have the amateur Swimming Association also banning League players.

Access to Grounds a Issue

The cashed up Rugby Union is using its influence and cash reserve to lock out the League from using its venues. The League however has secured 4 venues.

Cann injured

Rotten luck by Billy Cann a 1907 pioneer representative player who has broken a finger and will miss the opening season match.

Welcome Rosewell

After particpating in the early season Rugby Union trials prominant South Sydney RU forward Johnny Rosewell has been a late inclusion and play a trial this weekend.
