Missing Australian test captain and hooker Arthur Hennessy, who was on representative duty proved to be a key factor in this narrow one point loss on the weekend.

Baskerville passes away

The League community is still in shock at the sudden loss of New Zealnd manager A.H.Baskerville. Flags are being flown at half mast this weekend in both League and Union circles.

Redfern Oval delays

After a large number of reviews it looks like the NSW RL and Redfern Council will take longer than expected to prepare the venue. There is also a desire to not upset existing planned usage for the current year.

Rugby League branches into Queensland

This weekend the League continues to grow. This time in the northern location of Brisbane where the New Zealanders have been on tour and will now meet an Australian contingent.
