Maori Rugby League Tour of Australia Announced

Mr C.Ford who was sent by the NSW Rugby League to New Zealand to arrange for New Zealand and all Maori teams to visit Australia during the present season returned by the steamer Wimmers yesterday. However he had trouble, and after much negotiation he decided to deal with a new combination of Maoris altogether, with the result that matches have now been arranged with an entirely fresh section of New Zealand natives, who will been seen on Sydney grounds this season for the first time. He reports having concluded negotiations with a Maori team to leave for Australia on July 16. The combination, which includes some of the Maoris here last year, will be a very strong one. Matches to be played on July 24, 28 and 31.
