Luke wins 2008 NZRL Rookie of the Year award

South Sydney's Issac Luke has won the New Zealand Rugby League's International Rookie of the Year award presented at the 2008 New Zealand Rugby League Awards in Auckland today (Sunday). In a year which produced five New Zealand Test debutants, hooker Luke, second rower Sika Manu and winger Jason Nightingale were the finalists for the International Rookie of the Year. Luke, an interchange weapon in the World Cup campaign, was a clear winner of the title.
