The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their 21-man NRL squad for their Preliminary Final fixture against the Canberra at the Bruce Stadium, this Friday 27th September at 7:50pm. Head Coach Wayne Bennett will has named the same 17 players that defeated the Sea Eagles in last Friday’s Semi Final. Rabbitohs prop George Burgess is set to play his 150th NRL game this Friday night, all of which have been for South Sydney, since making his debut against the Bulldogs in round 13, 2012. South Sydney hooker Damien Cook will play his 100th NRL game on Friday, having made his debut for the Dragons against the Tigers in round six, 2013. Rabbitohs centre Dane Gagai will play his 50th NRL game for South Sydney this Friday evening, making his Club debut for the red and greens against the Warriors in round one last season. Burns, Denniss, and Koloamatangi are unavailable due to injury.
The match is being billed as the Battle of Brittain with a record 7 English players named by both squads. 4 in the Canberra team and the 3 Burgess brothers.
