Good First Half is not enough
This week it was a game played in two halves. We put in good first half effort to lead 12 nil for almost all of the half. But once again we let in a late try in the half. This gave the opposition momentum and confidence heading into the break. We were then dominated for the second half. Games against the top teams is exposing us and we will need to improve. Now off to play the Dogs at home who just had a 58,000 crowd on the Kings Birthday Monday. Still 8 more wins to make the finals.
Munro returns
A bulked up Tyrone Munro made his return to the game, and after 3 broken colar bones over the last 2 years, everyone watched how he went. It was a strong return on the right wing, putting in a big effort in kick return metres. Looking forward to seeing him return to form again.
Gudgeon double
Ammaron Gudgeon was a late call up on the right wing in reserve grade. And he didn't disappoint. Safe under the high ball, and finished off two good tries.
Wright double
Daniel Wright continues to show his ability in U21s. Playing wing or centre he has a great speed to get past defenders, and on the weekend he scored two tries through his hole running. He will be a player to watch over the coming years.
Parking needs to improve at SFS
As a regional fan, there is a assumption that public transport is reliable at 10pm at night or on the weekend. But the reality is this is the regular maintenance window somehwere on the network, so we need to use our car to get home, almost every weekend. As a result the need for improved Parking at Moore Park precident for large crowds is a must, as the old grass carparking is coming to a end. The new underground car park will only replace in effect the lost SCG/SFS Gold Members car park, when buildings were errected on those locations A multi-story car park to the direct east of the SFS in the old Showground would help significantly.
