Jaxson Paulo Signs for 2019-20

1st June 2019

The South Sydney Rabbitohs are delighted to announce the signing of young outside back Jaxson Paulo immediately, until the end of the 2020 season. Paulo, 19, has been granted a release from the Gold Coast Titans and he will join the Rabbitohs this week. Paulo is a winger or centre from the Keebra Park State High system, going on to play under 20s for both the Gold Coast Titans and Burleigh Bears, and represent his country of New Zealand at under 18s level. He is also studying a double degree in Business and Design.

Rabbitohs General Manager of Football, Shane Richardson, says Paulo is a rising talent in the game. “Jaxson has been on our radar for a while and we feel that under the tutelage of Wayne (Bennett) and our coaching staff, we will see the best of him,” Mr Richardson said. “He is an athletic winger or centre and he will add to our depth in both of those positions. We’re looking forward to seeing him progress in our system and we’re also looking forward to seeing him pull on the red and green jersey of the Rabbitohs.”

Paulo said he is looking forward to the opportunity at South Sydney. “I’m really grateful to the Rabbitohs for this fantastic opportunity,” Paulo said. “I want to thank the Titans for giving me my first shot with an NRL Club, but I’m ready to put my best foot forward for South Sydney and I can’t wait to play for a Club with such a rich heritage and great Member base.”
