Sam, Tom and George Burgess 2019 Contract Extensions

Souths have masterminded one of the sneakiest contract extensions in the game’s history. Sam Burgess has extended his deal until the end of 2019. It was a deal done on the sly almost six months ago to ensure their best player wouldn’t hit the open market. As a former Clive Churchill Medallist and English international, Burgess would’ve been one of the most in demand players on the market.
After recently extending the contract of Sam Burgess, South Sydney has also extended, his younger brothers George and Tom. At 25, the pair have played more than 200 NRL games combined. The Burgess twins also extended their deals with the club for a further season.
