Souths romp over Balmain

Souths over powered Balmain in the last round of the competition proper. A combination of solid forwards and speedy back has Souths in equal first with Easts and Glebe.

Anderson 4 try NSW debut

Tommy Anderson had a great first game for New South Wales scoring 4 tries.

Second Grade in second

South Sydney second grade is in a race for the finish with Easts who are two points ahead. Next weeks game looms is critical for Souths Second Grade premiership chances. A loss against Easts all but secure Easts with the title.

Toowoomba sensation then Tour Cancelled

After a Maori forward was ordered off for numerous punches by a local refereee, the Maori captain walked his team off the field. Add to this, a second sensation when at midday on the day of the Australia v Maori's game was to take place. The Maori management informed the League they would not be able to particpate due to financial issues due to upcoming legal proceedings.
