Souths tough Qualifying Round victory

As we enter the business end of the season Souths had a tough Top 8 Qualifying Round encounter with Newcastle coming out on top in a wet weekend encounter. A number of Kangaroo representatives stood down from the match. With Rugby Union converts Leo Senior and Max Coxon making their debuts. Souths and Easts are still neck and neck in the fight for the title.

Congratulations on our Kangaroo tourists

South Sydney have been rewarded with the selection of 6 players in the Kangaroo touring party. Congratulations to Hennessy, Cann, Rosewell, Anderson, Davis and Arthur Butler.

Second Grade bow out

Second grade have only recorded their second loss for the season both against Easts who are now 4 points clear with 2 rounds to go.

Merger with Australian Rules ?

During the last month J.J.Giltinan has been exploring the option of merging with Australian Rules. Is this a sign that Rugby League is struggling, with other long term options being explored.
