Souths Sydney v Eastern Suburbs

Rule 10, subsection 1, in the League's bylaws, provides that in the final match of the First Grade competition 33 1/3 % of the net proceeds is to be devoted to the hospitals, and the balance to the assurance fund. In order to make adequate arrangements for the EAstern Suburbs v South Sydney match, which will be the final of the First Grade competition, the executive has decided to postponed it from Saturday 22nd to Saturday 29th.

The final of the first grade competition under Rugby League rules will be played on the Agricultural Ground Saturday August 29 at 3:15pm, and will be preceded by the final round third grade match Sydney v Drummoyne.

In addition to the football match, 6 Queensland aborigines will give a display of spear and boomerang throwmig. They will operate from the centre of the ground and their dlsplav will be given in warpaint and in full fighting costume. It will comprise the war cries of the six different tribes including the war cry to be used by the Australian League team during the tour through England, which was given to Mr Fibelly by Mr Meston manager of the aborigines.

Displays of throwing with the spear and boomerang at target; exhibitions of single and double circle boomerang throwing, combats with the shield and nulla and two northern aboriginals will have a sham fight, throwing all their weapons and parrying them with the woomera. The exhibition will take place, during the intervals of the football match, and if suffciently dark at the conclusion of the game the aboriginals will give a display of fire boomerang and fire spear throwing.

The South Sydney club has to announced the first grade team for the inaugural first grade rugby league final. Anderson, A.Butler, Cann, J.Davis and Rosewell were unavailable as they were on route to England due to the inaugural Kangaroo tour of England representative duties.
