Late changes Boston and McPherson were out. Premier League was a great match for Norths. Isaac Gordon and Eddy Pettybourne started. Ryan Verlinden, Conrad Ta'akimoeaka, Valu Nasio and Issac Luke were the bench players used. Eddie Paea was first to score for Norths and he converted his own try. That was on the back of a break by Beau Champion. Isaac Gordon was next to score. Auckland hit back with a try. There was no further score until just before halftime when Eddie Paea put in a grubber kick and Germaine Paulson collected it and offloaded to Jardine Bobongie to score. Halftime 18-4. Auckland scored first in the second half. It was a lucky try that resulted from a charge down on a Norths kick. It was all Norths after that. Isaac Gordon scored from a grubber kick by Eddie Paea. Paea kicked a penalty goal to extend the lead to 14. Jardine Bobongie broke the line to score his second try. Issac Luke offloaded to Beau Champion who passed to Germaine Paulson who scored. Ryan Verlinden barged over for a try on the back of a 40/20 kick from Eddie Paea. And the final try happened when Eddie Paea broke through and drew the fullback before passing to Paulson who scored. Final score: 46-10 to Norths. The forwards dominated and the back capitalised on their opportunities. Eddie Paea, Beau Champion, Germaine Paulson and Ben Rogers had their best game of the season so far.
