Rabbitohs Centenary Season Launch

The South Sydney Rabbitohs last night launched their 2008 Centenary Season at the Enmore Theatre in Enmore. The event, three weeks ahead of the kick-off of NRL round one, was attended by more than 650 people including the Rabbitohs two oldest living players Jack Lawrence and Clem Kennedy Those gathered watched on as the 32-man NRL squad was presented with their 2008 jerseys from school children from Darlington Public School and Alexandria Park Community School. Rabbitohs Executive Chairman Peter Holmes à Court spoke before a season launch video featuring players talking about the season ahead and their off field activities was shown on the big screen. Head coach Jason Taylor had the final say on the video and spoke of his enthusiasm for the year ahead. “Last year was a great result for us but that is now behind us and we are focusing very much on what needs to be done this season and how we can improve on what we achieved last year,” he said. “The pre-season has been a good one for us and I’m very excited about the season ahead.”
