Wrigley Assistant Coach in 2010

8th September 2009

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have appointed Kurt Wrigley as its NRL Assistant Coach. Wrigley has extensive experience as an Assistant Coach in the NRL, having spent eight seasons as an Assistant Coach with the St George Illawarra Dragons (2004-08), Cronulla Sharks (2002-03) and Adelaide Rams (1998). For the past 10 months, he has been the CEO of OzTag Australia. Wrigley will join the Rabbitohs coaching department of Head Coach Jason Taylor, Forwards Coach Gorden Tallis and Director of Athletic Performance Errol Alcott as of November this year. “I was really pleased with the calibre of the applicants we received for the Assistant Coach position, and Kurt has really impressed us with his knowledge and his enthusiasm for the role,” Rabbitohs Head Coach Jason Taylor said. “He has a lot of experience both as a coach and a player, and I’m looking forward to him bringing new ideas and methods to our training regime and our preparation for game day. “We’re looking forward to Kurt joining the team for the pre-season and using his knowledge to improve our performances next year.” Wrigley is excited about joining the Rabbitohs for the season ahead. “I’m rapped to be back coaching and I’m really looking forward to working with JT (Jason Taylor) and the playing staff at the Club,” Wrigley said. “I’m impressed with where the Club is heading and hopefully I can help the Club achieve its goals and continue its improvement on the field.”
