Duncan and Fletcher Sign for 2022-25

17th June 2021

The South Sydney Rabbitohs are delighted to announce the re-signing of talented youngster Tallis Duncan until at least the end of the 2025 season, as well as the signing of back rower Thomas Fletcher for the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Duncan, 19, is a back rower or lock that represented the Rabbitohs in the SG Ball under 19s competition in 2021, graduating to the Jersey Flegg under 21s squad in recent weeks. He is a high work-rate, hard-hitting player that has impressed in the Rabbitohs Elite Pathways and Player Development (EPPD) Program in 2021, which included him winning the Player of the Year Award this season for the Rabbitohs SG Ball team.

Fletcher, 17, is a back rower from Coonamble, the same NSW country town as fellow Rabbitoh Braidon Burns, that has played in the St Gregory’s College, Campbelltown first XIII for the past two years. The year 11 student is interested in studying Sports Science when he completes his schooling at the end of next year.

Rabbitohs Head of Football, Mark Ellison, is excited to know these young players see their future at South Sydney. "It’s pleasing to be able to announce the signings of these two young players in Tallis and Thomas as well," Mr Ellison said. "They are both very talented footballers but they are also fine young men from good families and good backgrounds with strong work ethics. This is important as it will hold them in good stead as they work through the grades and develop their games."
