The South Sydney Rabbitohs full-time training squad will begin to return to training for the 2025 pre-season next week under the watchful eyes of the new-look coaching staff installed at the Club for the upcoming season.
NRL
The Rabbitohs currently have 28 players contracted to top 30 contracts, with a further five players contracted to supplementary list contracts. South Sydney will also have a further 12 players completing full-time training for varying periods during the pre-season build up to round one of the NRL season in March, including four players from affiliate club, the Townsville Blackhawks.

NSW Cup - Reserve Grade (Summer Squad)
The summer squads and coaching staff for the Rabbitohs pathways teams are taking shape with the squads all coming in for their induction meetings this week ahead of the commencement of the 2025 season. Over 200 players will take part in summer training squads across the male and female pathways at the South Sydney Rabbitohs for 2025, including players in the men’s open age NSW Cup squad and the men’s under 21s Jersey Flegg Cup squad. The players in each summer squad, as well as coaching and training staff, met over three nights this week for induction meetings, outlining the expectations of each person and each team as part of the Rabbitohs pathways system for 2025. Listed below are the summer training squads and coaching staff for each pathways squad for 2025.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have assembled a 37-woman squad for the 2025 Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership competition which was announced today. The squad is a mix of representative players, returning players and new recruits to the Rabbitohs, as well as graduating players from the Club’s junior representative sides. The Rabbitohs will field three players with NRLW experience in 2025 including Cheynoah Amone (Dragons 2023), Seli Mailangi (Eels 2021-22) and Jazmon Tupou-Witchman (Sharks 2023, Cowboys 2024). In addition, seven players have international experience including Mailangi (Tonga 2022-24), Tupou-Witchman (Cook Islands 2022-24), Ema Rainima (Fiji 2023-24), Siniva Sa’anga (Fiji 2023), Luisa Yaranamua (Fiji 2024), Maleah Mayol (Italy 2024) and Sally Dwyer (Australian Prime Minister’s XIII 2018). Rebeccca Riley returns to the Rabbitohs this season, bringing with her State of Origin experience when she played for New South Wales in 2018, and Kiara McGregor returns to the open women’s team this season after being selected in the New South Wales under 19s women’s squad, as well as winning player of the match honours for NSW City under 19s and the Rabbitohs’ Tarsha Gale Cup (under 19s women’s) player of the year award in 2025. Coached will be by experienced coach, Chris O’Connell.
