2025 NRL Premiership Round 27 - Teams

South Sydney v Sydney Roosters

The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their squad for round 27 against the Sydney Roosters this Friday 5 September at 8pm at Allianz Stadium, as the two teams play for the Ron Coote Cup. Rabbitohs Head Coach Wayne Bennett has named Jack Wighton to return in the centres following the completion of his suspension, as well as Tallis Duncan in the second row with Jacob Host shifting to the interchange bench. Cameron Murray has been named to return on the interchange bench, with Euan Aitken also returning as 18th man. L.Mitchell, Le Blanc, Tatola, Graham, Moale, Sullivan, Penitani, O'Donnell, O'Kane, R.Gray, Burns, McCarthy, Lovett, Sprague, Heslin, Hallie, Towns, Fonoti, Alhazim, Fong and Keung are out injured.

Round 27 is the second leg of the Ron Coote Cup for the 2025 season.

The sixth-placed South Sydney Rabbitohs’ Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership team will head back home to Redfern on Saturday to take on the ninth-placed Wests Tigers, with a win crucial to their hopes of finishing in the top four. The clash will be played at Redfern Oval on Saturday 6 September at 10:30am. The Rabbitohs currently sit one competition point outside of the top four, with the four highest placed teams after next week’s final round making their way through to the semi finals.
