NRL Try of the Year - Alex Johnston

Alex Johnston has been awarded the 2026 Try of the Year at tonight's Dally M Awards ceremony at The Cutaway in Barangaroo, Sydney. The Try of the Year was Johnston's 213th career try, scored against the Sydney Roosters at a sold-out Allianz Stadium in Round Two. That try surpassed the 53-year record held by the late Ken Irvine and etched Johnston's name as the greatest try scorer in Australian Premiership history. The moment sparked scenes rarely seen in the modern game, with the crowd storming the field in celebration as Johnston rewrote Rugby League history in the red and green. Johnston finished the season with 30 tries from 22 NRL appearances, topping the Rabbitohs try-scoring list for the tenth time in his 13-season career. South Sydney congratulates Alex Johnston on winning the 2026 Try of the Year.
NRL Provan-Summons Medal - Jai Arrow

Rabbitohs forward Jai Arrow has been awarded the NRL's Provan-Summons Medal at tonight's Dally M Awards ceremony at The Cutaway in Barangaroo, Sydney. The Provan-Summons Medal is awarded to the player deemed by the Dally M judges to have displayed the true spirit of the game through their actions and conduct on-field. The winner of the prestigious medal is measured against four values: respect, honesty, bravery and sportsmanship. Arrow's year has been defined by courage that reached far beyond the football field. In May, he announced his immediate retirement from the NRL on medical grounds following a diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease (MND), having undergone months of testing and treatment. Through everything that followed, Arrow brought the Rabbitohs team, the Club and the wider Rugby League community together like never before, while facing the battle of his life with honesty, dignity and strength. Late in the season, with support from the NRL and the Rugby League Players Association, Arrow suited up for two further matches, taking the field for the opening moments against the Gold Coast Titans in Round 26 and against the Sydney Roosters in Round 27. Those appearances allowed him to bring up 100 NRL games for South Sydney, becoming only the 67th player to reach that milestone in the Club's history. It was a display of toughness and inspiration that showed not even MND can stop people from achieving their goals and living their dreams. Earlier this month at the Red and Green Ball, Arrow was crowned Bob McCarthy Clubperson of the Year for the second straight season, recognition of the same bravery and leadership that has defined his 2026 campaign. He had already won the George Piggins Medal in 2025 as South Sydney's best and fairest, along with the Souths Cares Award and The Burrow Appreciation Award in recent seasons. Arrow embodies the South Sydney spirit, both on and off the field, and he is a worthy winner of the 2026 Provan-Summons Medal. Congratulations to Jai Arrow on claiming the Provan-Summons Medal.
NRL Headline Moment of the Year - Jai Arrow

Jai Arrow has been awarded the Peter Frilingos Memorial Headline Moment of the Year at tonight's Dally M Awards ceremony at The Cutaway in Barangaroo, Sydney. The award, named in honour of legendary Rugby League journalist Peter "Chippy" Frilingos, recognises the moment or story that defined the season in the eyes of the game. For 2026, that story was Arrow's brave fight against Motor Neurone Disease (MND). In May, he announced his immediate retirement from the NRL on medical grounds following his diagnosis, having undergone months of testing and treatment. Through everything that followed, Arrow faced the battle of his life with honesty, dignity and extraordinary bravery, capturing Rugby League and bringing the Rabbitohs family, the Club and the wider game together like never before. His bravery has inspired teammates, supporters and the game itsel and he is a worthy winner of the 2026 Peter Frilingos Headline Moment of the Year. Congratulations to Jai Arrow on claiming the Peter Frilingos Memorial Headline Moment of the Year.

RLPA Team of the Year (Second Row) - Tallis Duncan

South Sydney Rabbitohs forward Tallis Duncan has received one of the highest individual honours from his fellow NRL players, earning selection in the 2026 Players' Dream Team. Duncan was voted by his peers as one of the two best second rowers in the competition following an outstanding 2026 campaign in the Cardinal and Myrtle. The Players' Dream Team recognises the best 14 players across their respective positions, with voting open to all contracted NRL players. Players cannot vote for a teammate, making Duncan's selection a significant endorsement from those he has competed against throughout the season. Duncan was selected in the second row alongside Manly-Warringah's Haumole Olakau'atu, joining some of the biggest names in the game including James Tedesco, Nathan Cleary, Herbie Farnworth and Payne Haas. The recognition caps another impressive year for Duncan, who has continued to establish himself as an important member of the Rabbitohs' forward pack through his work rate, versatility and consistency. Duncan is the Rabbitohs' sole representative in this year's side, while future Rabbitoh Payne Haas, who will join South Sydney for the 2027 season, was selected at prop. It marks Haas' fifth Players' Dream Team selection, moving him to outright second for the most appearances since the concept began in 2017. The South Sydney Rabbitohs congratulate Tallis on his selection in the 2026 Players' Dream Team.
NSWRL NSW Cup Team of the Year (Wing) - Jordi Mazzone

South Sydney Rabbitohs winger Jordi Mazzone has been rewarded for a standout NSW Cup season, earning selection in the 2026 The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup Team of the Year. Mazzone was named on the wing in the NSW Cup's best 13 following an outstanding individual campaign for South Sydney, establishing himself as one of the competition's most dangerous attacking players. The Rabbitohs flyer finished the NSW Cup regular season as the competition's leading try scorer with 23 tries, while his 25 line breaks were also the most of any player in the competition. Mazzone's impact extended well beyond finding the try line, averaging 143 running metres per game across his NSW Cup campaign and providing the Rabbitohs with a consistent threat coming out of the backfield. His ability to turn opportunities into points was on show throughout the year, with Mazzone scoring three or more tries in four separate NSW Cup matches. The impressive campaign earned Mazzone one of the two wing positions in the NSW Cup Team of the Year alongside Penrith Panthers winger Jesse McLean. Mazzone is the sole Rabbitohs representative in the side, with his selection recognising an impressive 2026 NSW Cup season in South Sydney colours. The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup Team of the Year is selected by nswrl.com.au based on player performances throughout the NSW Cup regular season.
