Curry played in the 1943 Cup-Tie State Championship decider for South Sydney. He was also a member of the 1943 Reserve Grade premiership winning South Sydney squad. He also played in the 1942 Third Grade premiership decider for South Sydney.
Curry is a South Sydney from Cleveland St, who played junior reps for South Sydney in the 1941 U21 Presidents Cup team. He made his senior grade club and premiership debut in the 1942 Round 5 Third Grade clash against Balmain at the Sports Ground. A month later he stepped into reserve grade in the 1942 Round 9 Reserve GRade clash against Western Suburbs at the Sports Ground. He made his first grade club and premiership debut in the 1943 Round 1 clash against Newtown at Henson Park
In 1941 Curry enlisted and was a gunner in the Austrlian Heavy Artiliary in the Sydney Fixed defense serving until the end of 1942. He was reliable clever try scorer.
Curry played 4 seasons with South Sydney between 1942 and 1945. He played 36 first grade club games for South Sydney, which included 27 first grade premiership and 5 first grade cup games for South Sydney. Overall he played 65 senior grade club career games for South Sydney which included 56 first grade premiership games.
Curry played his final senior grade and first grade premiership game in the 1945 Round 14 clash against Balmain at the Sports Ground. The following week Curry played his final senior grade and first grade club game in the 1945 end of season Tour match against the NSW North Coast at Grafton.
