Twiss was a meber of South Sydney team who played the premiership decider in 1910.
Twiss was a lower grade rugby union convert from the Sydney club, who then played with Eastern Suburbs before coming to South Sydney. He would play lower grades with the South Sydney, before being called up into first grade late in the season. He made his first grade club and premiership debut in the 1910 Round 13 clash against Glebe at Wentworth Park.
TWiss was the regular second grade fullback and stepped up into first grade after second grade were knockout in the Top 8 qualifier.
Twiss played 2 seasons with South Sydney between 1910 and 1912. He played 3 first grade club and premiership games for South Sydney.
Twiss played his final first grade club and premiership game in the 1910 Premiership Final against Newtown at the Showground. He would trial with North Sydney in 1911, but returned in 1912 to playout his career in South Sydney second grade.
