These teams met at the Rosebery Park Racecourse yesterday afternoon, and , after a fast and exiting game, the match ended in a draw, each side scoring six points. Storie, Cann, Butler, Moss, Hennessy and McCann were the pick of South Sydney, while Smith, P.J.V. McNamara, Miller, Mable and Green played best for Eastern Suburbs. Butler and Stories scored tries for South Sydney, while Smith and McNamara did likewise for Eastern Suburbs. This was a much more interesting game than the earlier game.
