One time South Sydney premiership winning forward in 1908, who retired after winning the competition.

Cochrane played lower grades rugby with South Sydney and Oakliegh, before joining South Sydney Rugby League. He made his first grade premiership debut in South Sydney's inaugural Round 1 1908 clash against North Sydney at Birchgrove Oval.

Cochrane would only play one season with South Sydney. He played 9 first grade premiership games.

Cochrane played his final first grade premiership game, in the 1908 premiership final against Eastern Suburbs at the RAS Showground.
