Hucker was a 1 time South Sydney premiership decider finalist in 1910.
Hucker was a former South Sydney rugby union player who came across to league. Before coming across to league he had also represented New South Wales at RU and was unlucky to not be selected in the 1908-09 Wallaby tour of England. Hucker came across to league mid season in 1910. He made his South Sydney first grade club and premiership debut in the 1910 Round 5 clash against North Sydney at North Sydney Oval.
Hucker a threequarter was considered a capital player. He is very strong, defends brilliantly and very alert and tricky runner, but not a speedster. In 1911 he was loaned to North Sydney under permit.
Hucker would play 2 seasons with South Sydney in 1910 and 1912. He played 18 first grade club and premiership games for South Sydney.
Hucker played his final first grade game for South Sydney in the 1912 Round 13 clash against Annandale at the Sports Ground.
