2026 The Big Unknown
The off season has been long after we missed finals football again across the three grades. After a year that was worse on the injury front than in 2024, its been a very careful return for all players with longer term injuries. Will we see more of the same in 2026 or will the squad live up to its potential. Only time will tell, as fans look forward to the new season but with apprehension. Younger players will be better for the experiance gained, while we have a full team for most of the year on the sidelines, then add the graduation of some youth from the juniors who played finals last year. Everyone is looking forward to a movement up tables across all grades in 2026. Let the new year begin, the only way is up.
Welcome Fifita
One of the biggest off season buys in a long time has been the inclusion of damaging forward David Fifita. Reports from training is that he join our lethal left, with Johnston, Mitchell and Walker. He is already lifting Mitchell at training as like two prize bulls feeding off each other. I am looking forward to fit left side in action.
Lower Grade Turnover
After poor results in our lower grades we are seeing a significant turnover in the lower grades in 2026, with a lot of new faces. We have bought well bringing in players from the successful NSW Cup grand finalists to suppliment our squad. Then we will also have a number of players who gain higher grade experiance stepping back. It will be a very new looking squad in 2026 across the lower grades
AGM needs to move
As the season begin, our Member Co Annual General Meeting is also upon us. But with the NRL now adopting a Vegas in the bye week between the final pre-season clash and Round 1, the timeing of the AGM which has traditionally fallen on that Sunday is now clashing with event the NRL. We should look to move the AGM a month earlier in the weekend before the Junior season kicks off.
