In a dominant middle 40 minutes, Cronulla-Sutherland have beaten South Sydney 16 to 32 at Ocean Protect Stadium. Siegwalt converts. A heavy clash saw Wighton leave the filed with a bleeding ear. Cronulla lost a man to the sin bin over the incident. After sustained pressure Cronulla isolated Siegwalt and scored. Cronulla were in again from a cross field kick on the fifith tackle saw Talakai score next to the posts. As the half was ending CRonulla got a penalty when Graham was out jumped in taking a bomb. Then they caught the defence nappying and scored from dummy half. Halftime Cronulla lead 6 to 18.
After Cronulla almost open the scoring over a knocked down tackle from Sigwalt, it was a overhead pass from Walker that allowed Graham to score out wide for South Sydney. Siegwalt converts. But soon after Cronulla hit back when Fonua-Blake charged onto the ball and scored near the posts. A penalty goal in front of the post sees Cronulla extend their lead out to 14. A hot shot by BRandon Smith that was put on report, and soon after Cronulla are in again in the corner. South Sydney were in again after a 5th tackle blind side play saw Graham almost scored but he keep the ball alive and Smith cross field kicked to Johnston who scored. Siegwalt fails to convert. But Cronulla hold on to win 16 to 32.
